I’m Amanda—a photographer based in Seattle with a passion for love stories, big moments, and the little details that make them unforgettable. My work is all about authenticity: capturing the history of your love exactly as it unfolds.

What drew me here? A deeply personal realization: photos should feel real. Years ago, my husband and I had engagement photos that didn’t reflect us—they felt forced, posed, and just… wrong. It was a second try with a phenomenal photographer that reminded me what photos should be: true, joyful, and a mirror of who you are. That’s what I strive to give my couples—images that feel like coming home.

“You are weird as F***,
will you be weird with me forever!?

No joke, that is how my husband proposed. That is also when I truly learned that every love story, is it’s own. Be weird, flamboyant, ridiculous and amazing. Pick your adjective and be yourself. I found passion in telling the tales of us. Find your human, live in love, and don’t skip the opportunity to capture your memories!

So, That is the short story.

Spend five minutes with me and you will learn, I don’t have many of those.

Here’s the rest. It sounds cliché, but I picked up a camera when I was seven and just never put it down. I have always been a people person—every job I have had was centered around human interaction, and I can’t get enough of talking to new people. I bounced around jobs trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life. I majored in photography, and even after I graduated, I wasn’t convinced that I had found what was right for me. I had been out of school for a little over a year, I had a photography job in the corporate world, and I was just trucking along. Oddly enough, a very mediocre experience with engagement pictures led me down this trail. They say all that is bitter ends sweet, and this one really did.

After that very unique proposal, we thought it would be a great idea to take our engagement pictures while vacationing in Malta. I started looking at photographers and it was a pretty quick search. At this time, for wedding and engagement photographers, there were all of twelve. After checking out portfolios, exchanging emails and a few conversations. We had location, date and photographer dialed in. We showed up and spent hours shooting—hours of “Okay, you close your eyes and you look at him, now he’s going to close his eyes and you look at her, now both of you close your eyes and look away.” When I got them back, I looked at a body of images that were forced and contrived. I was so sad, I wanted to love them; but every time I looked at them all I could feel was, this just is not us.

Fast forward a year and we tried it again. Trust me, that was a hard sell to my husband but he saddled up and I couldn’t be more grateful! We found an amazing artist and a gem of a human whose goal was to capture us. It is so special looking back on our day and seeing us, seeing our friends, and feeling the love and laughter that filled the room. I found myself looking at those pictures and saying, I want to do this… for the people like me. The ones who want to laugh ridiculously and love themselves for it. We are taking the joy, the smiles, and all of the quirks that make you, you. My favorite thing in the world is when my couples look at me laughing and say things like, “They’re not like anyone else; they are just so, us.”

“Amanda is phenomenal at what she does. Not only can you tell how much she loves capturing couples special and most intimate moments, she truly cares about her couples and making sure every picture is THE picture. She was there for our proposal, our engagement session, boudoir shoot, and wedding. I will never pick another photographer to capture our beautiful memories. Amanda is truly the best!”

“Amanda is a huge ball of enthusiasm and energy. My boyfriend had planned a proposal for me, which involved 5-mile hike at Mount Rainier. Amanda was ready and excited! She helped us laugh and made us feel utmost comfortable. Even if you are camera shy.. she’s got your back! ”

“There are not enough wonderful things to say about this woman and her work! She is personable and fun and has all the skills to make you relax in front of the camera, no matter how camera-shy you get! Working with Amanda is like working with a friend; the results are ALWAYS amazing. She can take your visions and rough ideas, work her magic, and turn them into the most phenomenal photos. She has captured our engagement, wedding, and soon our maternity photos, and every time, my husband and I are blown away by the emotion and love she captures in each photo. She truly captures memories and moments in time over a singular "photo." We always count down the days to the next time we get to work with her! I cannot recommend her enough!”
