Danny + Shannon - Leavenworth Proposal

Danny mastered the art of subtle deception in order pull off this surprise engagement. Danny and Michael (Shannons best friend) reached out to me simultaneously. They had set the stage for the shoot but telling Shannon that Michael would be having his engagement pictures taken in Leavenworth and they wanted their closest friends to come with them for the adventure. Although slightly begrudged that she would be accommodating on her anniversary, she went along for the ride to support her bestie. I shot Michael and his lovely fiancé Connor as we wandered through the town of Leavenworth. At the halfway marked we had made our way back to the town square. This was the spot where it was to happen. Group pictures were request and then the obligatory couple photo was a natural next. Danny and Shannon jumped in front of my lens and with shaky hands he looked at her and said “This whole thing was actually for you.” Shannon looked at him with confusion, looked back to her friends and in that moment she realized she would never say boyfriend again.
